While shooting for his film KNOCKOUT recently, Irrfan Khan was so shy of dancing in front of co-star Kangna Ranaut that he had to ask her to leave him alone. The incident happened while Irrfan was practicing his steps for a song but could not do it properly. Kangna, who was watching Irrfan practice, was making him all the more nervous. Irrfan who is not a smooth dancer like Kangna, had to ask for some privacy before he could get his steps right. Finally, with the help of the producer Irrfan requested Kangna to allow him some privacy so that he could stop fumbling and the pretty actress did so sportingly.
KNOCK OUT stars Sanjay Dutt, Kangna Ranaut and Irrfan Khan in the lead and is produced by Sohail Maklai.

Bigg Boss 4' and its controversies come to grand end, Shweta winner

By India Abroad
Sunday Jan 9 12:10 AM
New Delhi, Jan 8 (IANS) After raising far too many eyebrows along its 14-week run, 'Bigg Boss 4' has ended. With over-the-top cat fights, verbal abuse galore, a much publicised wedding, and romance that was often too intimate for viewers' comfort, the season did in a way live up to its promise of being bigger. But was it better?
Colors' 'Bigg Boss 4' had newer attractions, a state-of-the-art house, a live wire host in Bollywood star Salman Khan, interesting contestants, including two from Pakistan, and special appearances by film stars.
Season four saw incessant verbal abuses hurled over trivial matters, a sensation caused by the televised wedding of participant, actress Sara Khan with her beau Ali Merchant, and then the government hauling it up for 'offending good taste'.
It started with 14 contestants, including Mumbai terror attack accused Mohammad Ajmal Kasab's former lawyer Abbas Kazmi; thief-turned-detective Devinder Singh alias Superchor Bunty; actor Ashmit Patel, who was involved in an MMS scandal; former dacoit Seema Parihar and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's son Rahul Bhatt, who was friends with terror operative David Headley, accused of scouting targets for Mumbai attack.
There were two contestants from Pakistan - actress and former girlfriend of fast bowler Mohammed Asif, Veena Malik, and cross-dressing diva and television personality Begum Nawazish Ali, apart from Indian TV actresses, Shweta Tiwari and Sara Khan, former MTV 'Splitsvilla' contestant Sakshi Pradhan and model Aanchal Kumar, who hardly managed to raise the glamour quotient.
Others who participated in the competition of survival in a secluded house without any communication with the outside world, were Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari, model-turned-actor Sameer Soni and model Hrishant Goswami, later joined by WWE wrestler, The Great Khali and subsequently by the boisterous Dolly Bindra.
Hollywood bombshell Pamela Anderson was flown in to raise the mercury level as a special guest for three days on the already heated show!
This season courted quite a few controversies and troubles - starting Day 1 with Superchor Bunty's ouster following unruly behaviour in the house. Then followed objections by the Shiv Sena and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) against inclusion of Pakistani celebrities on the show.
The entry of The Great Khali, whose humungous size of 7'1 and heavy voice, sent jitters down the spine of other contestants. The atmosphere in the 'Bigg Boss 4' house was quite calm, cool and friendly until Dolly Bindra made a wildcard entry, and shook the atmosphere with her loud and overbearing nature.
Abuses, fights and melodrama became a way of life after Dolly and Shweta began to settle personal scores violently. The fights got others like Ashmit, Sameer, Khali, Veena, Sara and Manoj involved too. In fact, Sameer and Dolly were asked to leave the show for their bad behaviour, only to return a few days later.
Where illwill was flourishing between many, romance was also in full bloom with Rahul-Aanchal's silent chemistry, Veena's one-sided attraction for Hrishant as well as Ashmit and Sara's growing closeness there for the public to see.
The Ashmit-Sara angle didn't last long - how could it when her long time beau Ali Merchant entered the show and proposed marriage to her. The two were set to say 'kabool hai' on national TV - but even that was replete with controversy.
The show was in a mess as the Sara-Ali love story took an ugly twist when Sara's family claimed that both Sara and Ali were already married, and a petition was filed in court against them for cheating the public.
Then the information and broadcasting ministry stepped in. The ministry sent a notice to Colors for 'offending good taste' and for the use of vulgar language in the show, and even went to the extent of asking it to shift the telecast time after 11 p.m.
Meanwhile, love was brewing elsewhere too - Veena changed loyalties and shifted focus to Ashmit, who willingly reciprocated. The two cosied up under a blanket, kissed and hugged each other often and shared sweet nothings, until Veena had to bid goodbye to the show.
After Sameer's elimination in the 13th week - four candidates remained - the consistent Shweta, loud mouthed Dolly, confused and restless Ashmit and The Great Khali.
But it was Shweta who finally emerged the winner and walked away with the trophy and a cash prize of Rs.1 crore at a befitting, star-studded finale.
All in all, a controversial - yet entertaining season of 'Bigg Boss'!

Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor have finally buried their hatchet. According to latest reports, the two beauties have decided to forego their past differences and are now friends again.
It must be recalled that the animosity between the two started when Ranbir Kapoor dumped Sonam to be with Deepika. This fact brought a lot of sour chemistry between the two ladies.
Recently, Sonam even refused doing a couple of film projects starring Deepika and Ranbir in the lead. But, now looks like Sonam has mellowed down a bit.
It's learnt that Deepika and Sonam will soon be seen together in Karan Johar's chat show. This will be the first time the two beauties will be sharing a common platform after the Ranbir saga in their lives.

BLUE and ATB bring best Diwali ever for Bollywood

Joginder Tuteja, Bollywood Trade News Network
Success of BLUE and ALL THE BEST have done the trick. Their combined collections are now the best ever in the history of Bollywood. While BLUE has netted around 33 crores in the first week, ALL THE BEST too has gained speed with around 25 crores coming in. With a combined total of 58 crores, this is clearly the best that Bollywood has ever seen. Add to this a paltry 8 crores earned by MAIN AURR MRS. KHANNA and at least in absolute terms, Diwali has brought more than 65 crores back into the industry. Now compare it with this Diwali which held the record for the highest total ever for the festive season. The sum total of GOLMAAL RETURNS and FASHION was 60 crores with the Rohit Shetty film bringing in around 41 crores and Madhur Bhandarkar getting his career high opening of 19 crores. However, the fact remains that this sum was achieved on a 9 days extended run (both the films had released on Wednesday). This clearly makes 2009 as the best ever when it comes to huge revenue being generated.
Coming back to BLUE and ALL THE BEST, one cannot deny that the two films did eat into each other's business. Had they arrived separately, the collections would have been much-much better. In the process of Diwali clash, both films did suffer to an extent. When BLUE was taking the opening weekend lead, ALL THE BEST had to suffer an almost disastrous state. On the other hand when ALL THE BEST started catching late over the weekend, BLUE had to be content with decent collections rather than 'very good' as it would have enjoyed had it been the sole horse in the race.
As things stand today, both the films are safe at the box office but still have some distance to go before they can be termed as bona fide hits. With MAIN AURR MRS. KHANNA making a silent exit, the current week would decide if there would be a sense of competition between the two films or they would be able to good business with their own set of target audiences. With both FRUIT AND NUT as well as BAL GANESHA 2 turning out to be zero competition (expectedly), both BLUE and ALL THE BEST have 7 more days to gain good moolah before ALADIN arrives with LONDON DREAMS.

pair up to break DABANGG record?

AR and G3 pair up to break DABANGG record?

Joginder Tuteja, Glamsham Editorial
Let it be stated on record here; this Diwali weekend is all set to be the biggest ever in the history of Indian cinema when it comes to footfalls on this festive occasion. Last year, a record of sorts was created when the combined collections of BLUE, ALL THE BEST and MAIN AURR MRS. KHANNA (despite is bare minimal figures) were the best ever that Bollywood had seen for Diwali releases. Between the three of them, a sum total of 50 crores was crossed at the box office and though none of the films proved to be clean hits in a long run, at least there were celebrations galore in the first week.
Now is the time for Diwali 2010 and it is rest assured that the 50 crores total would be left behind by a huge margin, courtesy the twin release of GOLMAAL 3 and ACTION REPLAYY. In fact with DABANGG'proving loud and clear that there is a capacity of over 80 crores existing in a single week if a film is being loved, there is at least 20% more capacity available due to larger number of shows when GOLMAAL 3 and ACTION REPLAYY are combined together.
With close to 100 crores market available to be explored in one week flat, sky is the limit for both the new Diwali releases to make moolah. Rest assured, both the films are bound to open quite well as they have been optimally promoted. This means that the opening weekend is bound to be the best ever. Of course the content will do the talking eventually but the way hype is growing with every passing day for both the films; it would hardly be a surprise if the sum total of ACTION REPLAYY as well as GOLMAAL 3 crosses the first week record total of DABANGG.
Fingers crossed and here is wishing both the films a great celebratory run at the box office.

She definitely has the oomph to get the temperature soaring more than many of her equals in the industry. Gorgeous Kangna Ranaut in her upcoming film Rascal is all set to scorch the screen wearing an unimaginably skimpy two piece outfit. At the launch party of Sanjay Dutt's first home production, Rascal to be directed by David Dhawan there were hushed whispers at the venue that the leading lady of the film, Kangna Ranaut will be seen in a smoking hot avatar wearing a bikini. Meanwhile the actress is on a shopping spree these days. She shopped in Paris for her forthcoming films and it is estimated that Kangna blew a cool Rs 25 lakh for that.It must be recalled that Kangna is considered to be one of the most stylish actresses in B-Town. Nuptial News: Imran, Avantika Set For Jan Matrimony

Whoa! A big fat Indian wedding is on the cards. And this one promises to be quite hip, hop and happening as Imran Khan readies to wed Avantika Malik, his sweetheart of eight and a half years in January, 2011.
The duo met while in college and romance soared and bloomed at a time when Imran wasn't too sure of the path he'd like to choose in life. Having weathered many ups and downs together, the pair got engaged early this year, at a private do at Karjat. And they're now gearing up for a lavish wedding even as the families are working out the perfect 'mahurat' to solemnise the union.
Mercifully, unlike other B Town heroes Imry has never shied away from admitting to his romantic fondness for Avantika (none of the coy "we are good friends" bit, here). They were open about their bond and were seen publicly at various dos, a feat which other newbies can learn a thing or two from.
Incidentally, that will make him the youngest hero to get hitched, this season. While Imran confirmed the nuptial news to the scribe tribe, he was supremely hesitant about divulging details.
The actor's PR machinery, however, slyly squealed that the matrimonial knot was to be finalised in the second week of January 2011 and that close pals, kith and kin were being sent SMSs to keep themselves free around that time.
As per close sources, Imran won't be taking time off from work. Rather, he will be busy promoting his next film. As of now, he will go to Las Vegas on November 26, 2010 and will be back only on December 16, 2010.
Thereafter, Imry is all set to take a 20 day break from filming and thereafter he will rush back to his shoot.
Guess, it's return to cinebiz,'Break Ke Baad'….

Deepika: 'I'd gift Ranbir a pack of condoms!'

Tuesday Nov 9 3:25 PM
Deepika Padukone has already whipped up a great deal of buzz as regards her appearance on Karan Johar's 'Koffee With Karan'.
Word has it that Deepika who's paired up with Sonam Kapoor (ahem, love K Jo's combos) in the chat show, is rumoured to have had a blast… and quite literally blasted all those she wanted to take pot shots at!
Cases in point: Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.
DP may go blue in her celeb face asserting that she really doesn't give a damn about RK any longer, though the fact remains that Dippy hasn't gotten over the fact that Ranby Boy dumped her for a certain Katrina Kaif.
And boyyyyyyyyy! Did 'KWK' present the perfect opportunity? You bet!
When K Jo asked Deepika what she'd like to gift Ranbir… the swift response was… "a pack of condoms".
And this one's even better… when K Jo naughtily quizzed DP about what she'd like to say to Katrina Kaif (who reportedly is "good friends" with Ranbir), Dippy's pat reply was "I'd like to see her passport", obviously hinting at smart Kat's age!

Deepika Declares Ex Flame Friend; Asserts Ranbir Isn't Upset!

It's almost a given. The moment a romantic alliance goes kaput, the duo concerned end up being "good friends" in the sense that it really ought to be.
Case in point: Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor.
DP's graduated to mega millionaire Siddhartha and Ranbir's reportedly see sawing romantically between Katrina Kaif and Nargis Fakhri (heh, heh, naughty surname).
DP, however, makes it clear that Imran, Ranby, Sonam and she share a great comfort level, coz' they started their careers around the same time.
Media made much about the ugly digs that Deeepika jabbed at Ranbir and vice versa, on Karan Johar's famed chatathon on the telly. DP, though, insists that it never was a major cause for concern in the first place.
"I think Ranbir and I can take certain liberties with each other," she states in a media quote. "Ranbir also said certain things about me on Karan's show, but I haven't taken them to heart. I don't think that Ranbir will be affected by what other people believe what we should or should not say."
Although close sources insist that Rishi Kapoor was mighty miffed with DP, the actress rubbishes all such talk asserting, "I never had any differences with anyone. Too much has been said about it already and it's time to move on."

Imran Avantika tie the knot

Bollywood's chocolate boy Imran Khan finally bid adieu to bachelorhood and married long time girlfriend Avantika Malik.
